The 2011 PMA Fresh Summit in Atlanta not only provided a healthy supply of industry innovators, companies and new products but a host of award winners as well. The 2011 "Best Of Show" winners are as follows: North Shore Sales & Marketing, Inc., won “Best of Show: In-line Booth. NatureSweet, took the prize for “Best of Show: Island Booth. River Ranch Fresh Foods, earned “Best New Product Launch” for their River Ranch Heritage Blend. Orchard Bar, secured “Best First-time Exhibitor." Duda Farms Fresh Foods, acquired the first-ever “People’s Choice” award and California Avocado Commission, won the first-ever “Sensory Experience” award for their Roasted Pork Tenderloin with bok choy, pickled tomatoes, and avocados.
The 2011 PMA Impact Award were Apio & Clear Lam Packaging for their joint submission, “New Peel/Reseal Apio Squash Package.” Hollandia Produce, received the honor for their “Live Gourmet Living Lettuce Squircle Clamshell & Shipping Container.” Monterey Mushrooms, took home the award for their “Sustainable Mushroom Packaging.” Naturipe Farms took the cake with their “Berry Quick Snacks” and Ocean Mist Farms sealed the deal with their “Season & Steam Microwavable Artichoke Pack.”
