HAMILTON, ONTARIO- The Hamilton Police Department recently embarked on a fresh trail of clues in the latest installment of produce pilfering, following the disappearance of $45,000 worth of lettuce in a refrigeration trailer.
According to a statement, sometime between 8:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31 and 4:00 p.m. on Saturday April 1 an unknown suspect commandeered the truck and trailer parked on a lot in the city. The suspect transported the trailer to an unknown location, and ditched the truck. Detectives hope that the public can assist with the investigation and are asking anyone who may have information to contact them.

The truck was recovered, but the trailer is still missing. The Ontario license plate is P9002D.
The Hamilton Police have since embarked on a tongue-in-cheek pursuit for clues on this mystery, sharing pun-filled calls for information on the department’s Twitter feed.
