Kent Romrell, Senior Vice President of Sales for Potandon Produce, will retire at the end of March after a 30 year career. Kent was one of the founding partners of Potandon Produce when it obtained the Green Giant® Fresh licensing rights for fresh potatoes and onions from Pillsbury in 1995. Steve Ottum, Chief Operating Officer, tells AndNowUKnow, "Kent has been an integral part of Potandon, as one of the original founders of the company, his impact has been far reaching. The company has expanded its properties by acquiring newly designated "organic fields" in preparation for the summer growing season in British Columbia. Sales of the company's microgreens and organic herbs are on the rise both in the retail and food service sectors. Bill Hinksman, Manager - Food Service Sales, tells AndNowUKnow, "The consumer demand for specialty vegetables and unique items keeps us on our toes as we stay tuned into the market.
