Publix Names Doug Harris Vice President of Manufacturing

LAKELAND, FL - Publix Super Markets is elevating Director of Manufacturing Doug Harris to an executive role. Effective May 1, Harris will start as Vice President of Manufacturing, overseeing the retailer’s seven fresh production plants and printing services.

Doug Harris, Vice President of Manufacturing, PublixHarris has been part of the Publix family since joining in 1998 as an Industrial Engineer in Lakeland, Florida, where the company also operates its headquarters. After having worked in various positions in logistics and manufacturing, Harris transferred to the company’s Atlanta dairy plant in 2006 to be a Production Operations Manager. He was promoted to General Manager of the Atlanta dairy plant in 2013, according to a press release, then transferred back to Lakeland last year, when he was promoted to his current role.
