<p>BCfresh announced their winner for the “Be Fresh” new potato recipe challenge with Food Bloggers of Canada (FBC), a friendly group of food and beverage bloggers. The contest challenged contestants to use Warba New Nugget potatoes in unique new recipes. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>“The Warba-licious Recipe Challenge was a fun way for people to explore the BCfresh Warba New Nugget Potatoes in recipes highlighting the delicate flavour of this unique variety,” explains Brian Faulkner, VP Sales and Marketing of BCfresh. “Sponsoring a recipe contest with Food Bloggers of Canada was a great way to showcase local produce, while highlighting the creative talents of FBC members.”</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The winner of the challenge, one of four top contestants, was the Kerala Style Potato Avial created by Michelle Peters-Jones of Edmonton, AB. Michelle posted her delicious recipe and beautiful pictures on her blog, The Tiffin Box (thetiffenbox.ca).</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>“We felt that Michelle’s combination of flavourful, easy-to-find ingredients in a simple and traditional cooking process really made the new potatoes stand out,” said Faulkner. “The final product not only looks beautiful but really delivers great flavours when prepared at home.”</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>As the grand prize winner, Michelle received a $400 gift card.
