UNITED STATES - Perhaps one of my favorite things about the industry is the community. We’re always ready to hype each other up—and for good reason! Southeast Produce Council's (SEPC) Southern Roots likes to add to this camaraderie with its Member Spotlights. This month, the focus lands on Megan Zweig, President of DMA Solutions.

In a newsletter that went out industry-wide, SEPC asked Megan questions that ran from her favorite quote to how she defines leadership.

Megan Zweig, President, DMA Solutions“As a leader at DMA Solutions, I feel responsible for not only leading the business toward operational and financial success, but I also feel a sense of duty to the people who choose to work with us each day to lead happier and healthier lives,” she explained in the spotlight. “In fact, I have been so inspired as a leader at DMA that we created the Self Smarter Podcast where I co-host with Dan’l Mackey Almy, and each week we touch on a topic hand-picked for leaders to serve them on their personal and professional journeys.”

The association delved further into the realm of leadership, asking Megan about mistakes she’s made and learned from, as well what resources she’s used to garner insights into being a better leader in the fresh produce industry.

“I’ve found that by truly understanding and accepting my tendencies and weaknesses that would otherwise make me a ‘not so great’ leader, must be known so I can turn those negative traits around and make them absolute power moves. If you’re looking for a place to start, taking the Enneagram Test offered by the Enneagram Institute and get to know yourself better,” she explained.

The writers here at ANUK have taken this test and learned a lot about ourselves and our team—we highly recommend!
