PHOENIX, AZ - Doug Rauch, a well-respected retail trailblazer, is joining the leadership ranks of Sprouts Farmers Market. The organic grocer announced this week that Rauch will be the latest addition to its Board of Directors, effective February 25, 2020. Rauch brings with him several decades of retail sector know-how, having served as a pivotal driving force amongst Trader Joe’s executive team.
“I am pleased to join the Sprouts Board at this exciting time,” said Rauch. “Sprouts shares my beliefs of making healthy living affordable to everyday grocery shoppers and conducting its business in a way that is also good for the planet, and I look forward to working with the Board and management team to help guide the company’s path forward.”
According to a press release, Rauch spent 31 years with Trader Joe’s, including 14 years as President—a position in which he was instrumental in growing the chain from nine stores in California to a nationwide retailer. He also helped develop the grocer’s buying philosophy and private label food program.
“We are thrilled to add Doug to our Board of Directors,” said Jack Sinclair, Chief Executive Officer. “Doug is a seasoned grocery veteran whose decades of experience at one of the most well-regarded retailers in the industry will be invaluable to our company as we continue to develop our long-term strategy.”
Rauch’s resume also includes founding and serving as President of Daily Table; serving as a founding board member and Chief Executive Officer of Conscious Capitalism; and currently serving on the Board of Directors of PAR Technology Corporation.
Congratulations to Doug Rauch on this new role!
