Stemilt Growers has launched a new promotional bin program for value bagged apples and pears with Fuji's and Anjou's as the fruit of choice. The innovative new program offers high graphic sleeves that are slipped over each utilitarian bin. Each sleeve presents graphics that reflect the skin of the fruit they showcase. The news bins will also host the More Matters logo and Facebook logo encouraging consumers to reach out to both outlets. Although the weather has been colder than usual, the Santa Ana winds have been there to keep the strawberries warm. The company is supplying both conventional and organic strawberries. Cindy Jewell, Director of Marketing, tells AndNowUKnow, "We are just beginning to harvest the fruit and are anticipating the volume to pick up in the coming weeks, just in time for Valentine's Day promotions.
