Sun World International has kicked off harvest on its MIDNIGHT BEAUTY® black seedless grapes out of Coachella, California. While the company is shipping all three colors of grapes, Sun World is the single largest shipper of black seedless grapes from the region. Short-day onions offer a different set of characteristics due to planting that has occurred in Fall where their growing patterns are matched to days with shorter periods of sunlight. Short-Day onions offer a thinner, lighter colored skin with a higher water ratio, making the onions softer. They are best used fresh or lightly cooked.
