Sun West will be kicking off an early harvest this season beginning in November, on its navels, clementines, and mandarin varieties. The company anticipates a nice size crop to be harvested in Fresno County, which will be slightly larger than last year's. Peak season for navels will be December through May with Mandarins peaking in February and April. Doug Sankey, Vice President of Marketing, tells AndNowUKnow, "In Anticipation of an early season start, there will be good opportunities to promote our navels for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.” The initial 2012-2013 navel orange forecast is 93.million cartons.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Sun West<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">International Herbs is picking up momentum on its baby heirloom tomatoes. The year round program which has recently debuted, offers the multi-colored, greenhouse grown produce in 8 lb. packs. The company grows the heirlooms in Northern Baja Mexico.
