Play and produce….this is a win win!

Salinas, California is coming together as a community to provide a place where children can learn acceptance sharing, and inclusion. A fun place that focuses on how much we are all alike rather than different. This very special playground will be called, Tatum’s Garden. Tatum’s Garden is being created out of a need for a space that promotes “inclusive play” where children of all abilities can play side by side without boundaries. It’s a unique and custom-built playground which will include amazing art features such as murals and mosaic tile work, alongside fun play features such as a Broccoli Treehouse and Artichoke Amphitheatre . Amanda Given Bakker (baker), Mother of Tatum whom the park is named after, tells AndNowUKnow, "Tatum’s Garden will be a reflection of the Salinas Valley’s agricultural heritage and history. It’s designed to showcase the community with all 28 of the valley’s produce commodities being featured in the play structures." For the first time this October, they will be offering customers organic dates under the Anthony’s Organic Label. For dates both organic and conventional, SunDate also has fresh Yellow Barhi (Bar-hee) dates that are picked on the strand. With good weather and supply, SunDate will be looking forward to a quality year. DJ Ryan, Sales Manager, tells AndNowUKnow, “Supply is looking good. Several acres will be in production for the first time this year.”
