SALINAS, CA - Convenience is key for consumers as they load up their carts with meal ingredients for the week, leading to a rise in demand for time-saving, efficient products. As this need grows, Taylor Farms has announced its acquisition of Curation Foods’ fresh packaged salads, green beans, and fresh-cut vegetables business from Landec Corporation to expand its portfolio of offerings.

The acquisition went into effect December 13, 2021, according to a release. Assets included in the deal are the Eat Smart® brand and production facilities in Guadalupe, California, and Bowling Green, Ohio.

Through Taylor Farms’ acquisition of these Curation Foods businesses, the supplier will be able to up its production of chopped salads and fresh-cut vegetables, thereby meeting the gradually rising demand from retailers and shoppers.

As this deal goes into effect, Mark Campion, President of Taylor Farms Retail, will have leadership responsibility of the facilities as well as business integration.
