Consumer demand is growing for the Heavenly Villagio Marzano! The mini San Marzano variety was developed from tomato genetics originating in Italy. The unique flavor profile delivers a slightly acidic mouth feel, with an overall sweet taste. Village Farms has the exclusive in North America to grow and market the bite-sized tomato. The company grows year round in British Columbia and Texas and has quadrupled acreage since launching the product 2 and half years ago. The company bought farm land last year in March, but has been supplying grapes from the region for about ten years. President, Keith Wilson, tells AndNowUKnow, “The grape market is strong right now.
