West Pak Avocado is gearing up for the holidays with its avocado programs from Mexico and Chile. November is a great time for promoting avocados as market conditions are stabilizing and the supply, quality, and flavor are great. West Pak is offering a new portable bag clip strip making merchandising avocado bags easy and versatile. In addition, the company’s new RPC wraps allow retailers to customize displays with everything from rustic farm stand appeal to retail specific decor. Doug Meyer, Vice President Sales & Marketing, tells AndNowUKnow, "Some may not think of avocados as a traditional staple for the holiday season, but the fruit has become a mainstay in homes across the U.S. and is making its way into the holiday spread more and more every year."

King Fresh is gearing up for the holidays with its Fall fruit programs. The company will introduce its new lion cub artwork on a selection of its Vintage Red and Autumn Kings pouch bags, as well as new design elements on its citrus cartons, as the navel program gets underway. The late season red seedless and green seedless will continue to ship in the coming weeks and are presenting great taste and supply for Fall promotions. King Fresh has also purchased prime farmland in Northern Chile and is slated to begin shipping grapes from the new acreage by the end of December. President, Keith Wilson, tells AndNowUKnow, “Our new operations in Chile will give us a continuous supply when the California grape season winds down. We will be mainly growing Flames and Sugarones and offering them in our new packaging design, which we hope will appeal to the younger consumers shopping the produce aisle of their favorite Supermarket.”
