Windset Farms is doubling the size of its existing hot house facility from sixty-four acres of growing area to 128 in Santa Maria, California. Windset has finished inter-planting the original 64 acres ensuring that the company has peak production levels throughout the winter months in Santa Maria. The grower is getting ready to sow the seeds for its new Symphony Tomato Ensemble which the company will begin harvesting in early March and offering in the Spring. John Newell, COO, tells AndNowUKnow, "Windset will be offering its Heirloom Style, Symphony Tomato Ensemble varieties in multi-packs just in time for Spring. The vibrant mix of colors and flavors will add character to any dish."<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Sanguinetti Farms' Red Walnuts are on schedule for their late October/early November shipping date. Yields are greater than expected this year, allowing the company to promote more, with the added volume throughout the holidays. The grower is also presenting retailers with new POS material. Rex Lawrence with iFresh Sales who handles Sanguinetti's Red Walnut sales, tells AndNowUKnow, "We know Produce Managers are creative and resourceful, so we intentionally made the sign adaptable for various applications within the store."
