- by Lilian Diep
CHICAGO, IL - Fresh produce knows no bounds. As consumers continue looking for the next plant-based innovation to put in their shopping carts, The Worthy Company has just the fresh-forward product to help consumers meet their health goals. The company recently redesigned and reformulated its popular Worthy Bowls line, and Nydia Shipman and Sarah Renahan, Co-Founders of The Worthy Company, share how this exciting new launch will take 2021 by storm.
“Our updated line features reformulated bowl recipes that include, among other things, increased cauliflower, which is extremely beneficial for its fiber content and antioxidant properties,” Nydia, Chief Communications Officer, tells me, adding that the company is passionate about providing items that aren’t just delicious, but aligned with both on-the-go and at home.
The new, reformulated line includes Mango & Greens, Dark Cocoa Cherry, Strawberry & Greens, and Vanilla Orange. To top it off, Worthy is also relaunching its Pineapple & Greens to the full flavor line.
With consumers holding onto health and convenience while roaming the aisles, the Worthy Bowls are making it easy for shoppers to spot a good purchase. The company is unveiling a revamp of its packaging designed to draw shoppers in.
“To convey the health benefits inside, the Worthy Bowl labels have been updated with bright colors and call-outs to the greens and the fruit ingredients that make the product so mouthwatering,” Sarah, Chief Executive Officer, explains. “We wanted to showcase that we are using traditional ingredients we’ve all grown up eating and made them into a product that fits a fast-paced modern life.”
Travel-friendly Worthy Bowls can be found in the refrigerated section in retail and ship ambient if ordered online. As of now, the reformulated flavors are available on Worthy’s site, Amazon, and QVC. This month, Strawberry & Greens hit the shelves of Southern California Costco locations, and Bristol Farms stores will see Strawberry & Greens, Vanilla Orange, and Mango & Greens bowls in early March. One can only guess where these bowls will enter next.
“We are obsessed with how our customers, from young millennials to middle-aged adults, are making plants part of their diet and where they are shopping. They are socially conscious, focused on increased plant consumption, and lead active lives,” Nydia says. “Consumers are shopping the perimeter of the store and looking for healthy plant-based options that can provide them with a delicious, nourishing eating experience.”
At $3.49 per bowl, this trade news writer’s only hesitation is on which flavor to choose from, and the same will go for shoppers!
Packed with 8g of gut-healthy fiber and 8g of protein, Worthy Bowls are just the key item shoppers will be reaching for when looking for convenient nourishment. The bowls are comprised of vegetables, fruit, legumes, and chia seeds to keep consumers running, and are allergen-friendly, convenient, non-GMO, gluten-free, and Kosher certified.
