<p style="text-indent:0px; line-height:12px;"><span style="font-weight:bold;">La Cañada Flintridge, CA-</span><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">By ANUK Staff<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">3.1.13</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>Allend Lund Company has announced it has arranged for flatbed equipment to help move a sea container from the Holy Family Church located in South Pasadena, California to Miami. The container was used by Mission Haiti to transport materials from Miami to Port Au Prince, Haiti.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Included in the container were school and medical supplies, desk chairs for students and teachers and irrigation tools. The focus is to aid start new business ventures with the first year graduates of their high school.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">"With unemployment at 90%, the students recognized that they have to figure out a plan that will not only provide them a job, but also give them a sense of meaning," stated Karl Holtsnider, Regional Manager of Mission Haiti and Holy Family Parishioner. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The irrigation tools will be vital to a 10 acre mango plantation currently being developed in North Haiti near Bassin. Another container is scheduled for transport, carrying additional equipment to support these efforts in the coming months. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p> "This project has so many positives in that the villagers will be working and producing a product they can then sell," said Holtsnider.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>The medical supplies will be loaded onto the new Mobile Medical van, which travels throughout villages, providing free medical exams to the Haitian people, many of whom have never seen a doctor. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>"It is terrific for our company to be able to support Holy Family and their commitment to this cause," stated Allen Lund, President and CEO; adding, "We know that our efforts are vital to the rebuilding of Haiti and our number one priority right now should be education and employment." </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p><a class="btn btn-sm btn-primary col-lg-12" style="white-space: normal;" href=" http://www.allenlund.com/" target="_new">Allen Lund</a></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
