Fair quality lots are generally $22.95 to $24.95.
In Coachella Valley, California, red bell peppers are also holding steady. Demand is fairly good with the market about steady, as 1/2-carton red peppers range from $16.95 to $18.95, mostly $16.95. Irregular-size fair quality cartons are selling between $24.95 and $26.95, mostly $24.95.
Greenhouse bell peppers crossing through Texas from Mexico are seeing active demand with excellent quality. Red 11-pound cartons are generally ranging from $10.00 to $12.00 for jumbo and extra-large sizes, while large peppers are $9.00 to $11.00. Orange peppers are mostly $8.00 to $9.00, with yellow varieties primarily $7.00 to $8.00, reflecting stable pricing despite slower movement.
Meanwhile, the South Georgia season is effectively winding down, with supplies too limited to establish a market for green bell peppers. USDA designated the report as the last report for the region.
