CHELAN, WA - It’s been an exciting year for Chelan Fresh, with a recent merger and lots more to look forward to on the horizon. We caught up with Mac Riggan, Director of Marketing, to discuss what else apple, pear, and cherry fans have to look forward to from the company.
“With our recent merger with Borton Fruit we have a lot more to offer than we used to. We’re bigger in cherries now. We have a longer season; we’re growing in organics, and we have considerably more apples," Mac told me. "Specifically the KORU® apple and the Honeycrisp, which we will grow substantially in the next year.”
The company is anticipating a longer cherry season with a fairly large crop and a good supply in July, expecting to finish around August 15th or 18th.
In apples, the company will have considerably more across the board thanks to the merger. For more details, watch my full interview with Mac above.
