The company has been named an inductee of the National Women Business Owners Corporation’s “Decades of Excellence” Hall of Fame which will be awarded at the national NWBOC conference in Florida this May. Frieda’s will be honored, for being a Woman Business Enterprise certified with NWBOC for 10 years or more, according to a press release.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Karen Caplan, President and CEO of Frieda’s, states, “We are proud to have been a certified WBE for 10 years.” She continues, “My mother, Frieda Caplan, pioneered her way through the produce industry over 50 years ago, when it was still ‘a man’s world.’ We have come a long way since then, and it’s truly an honor for my sister, Vice President and COO Jackie Caplan Wiggins, and I to continue to build Frieda’s legacy as one of the most prominent, women-owned businesses in the industry.”</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>“We congratulate Karen Caplan on being inducted into the ‘Decades of Excellence’ Hall of Fame,” said Janet Harris-Lange, President of NWBOC. “Frieda’s has been certified annually since 2002.
