LAWRENCEVILLE, PA - Giant Eagle is upping the stakes in the great retail tech race. This week, the retailer announced it is building a new tech hub in Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania, that will be innovation-focused and e-commerce-charged.

According to local news source NextPittsburgh, the 23,000-square-foot space will employ 150 current and new workers, dedicated to developing customer-facing technology and taking Giant Eagle’s current online platform to the next level.

This week, the retailer announced it is building a new tech hub in Lawrenceville, Pennsylvania

“Our new office space in the heart of Lawrenceville will provide us with a geographical advantage to compete with regional, national, and global companies that are vying for this unique experience,” Karet continued.

The tech hub will be located at the TechMill 41 development and is slated to open in early 2020.
