"We are highlighting our organic avocados and blueberries—for avocados, specifically bags," Megan shared. "We encourage retailers to display both bagged and bulk avocados, conventional and organic. The combination leads to the maximum amount of sales in the category, and we offer racks that you can display in the department or as a secondary display."

Boosting its strength in the organics arena, Giumarra Companies recently increased its organic volume out of both California and Mexico, delivering more supply to customers to help meet strong demand.

As Megan goes on to share, one key element of a retailer's organic sales strategy is consumer education.

"For your organics consumer, education and merchandising is going to be key," Megan advises. "You want to make sure that on your signage and your packaging, it's highly visible, because they'll be coming in-store to seek that out."
