IMMOKALEE, FL - Lipman is sponsoring bike rider Jennifer Sanders in the 2nd annual Tour de Fresh.

Jennifer SandersSanders will join more than 30 other participants in a 325-mile, four-day bike ride, all to help raise money to increase fresh produce consumption among kids across the United States through the Let’s Move Salad Bars to Schools campaign.

Sanders plans to raise $5,000 for Alexander Valley School in California, according to a press release. You can show your support for her by clicking the link below.

Glenn Davis, Director of Western Operations for Lipman, said that helping Jennifer achieve her goal was a “natural fit” for the company.

“We chose to sponsor a rider this year because we strongly believe all children should have access to healthy foods,” said Glenn Davis, Director of Western Operations for Lipman. “Incorporating salad bars into schools encourages students to make healthy meal choices.”

Sanders has been road and mountain biking for more than twenty years. She’s placed in downhill and cross-country races, as well as Xterra triathlons. When she’s not biking, Sanders is a practicing attorney and coaches the Redwood High School Mountain bike racing team in Northern California.

This year’s Tour de Fresh riders will make their way from Hickory, North Carolina all the way to Atlanta, Georgia in time for the PMA Fresh Summit expo in October.
