KINGSVILLE, ON - The conversation around premium produce continues to broaden—and for Mastronardi Produce®, that means delivering freshness, flavor, and innovation across every category.
“We have several new products that we're launching this year,” said Geoff Kosar, Vice President of Marketing with Mastronardi Produce®. “The first new product is our Mastronardi™ Tomato Branch™. It's a very unique micro variety, really high brix level, sweet, great for charcuterie boards, and snacking. It's a very beautiful, unique shape—really almost looks like a teardrop. We recently launched it with a couple of different retailers in the east, and we're really excited to roll that out over the next couple of months.”
The Mastronardi Tomato Branch, already gaining traction with select partners, represents the company’s focus on flavor and visual appeal. That same innovation mindset extends into sustainability.
“We're really excited for our new Green Leaf Paper Bag with our Backyard Farms green leaf lettuce,” Kosar continued. “Super sustainable packaging uses 65 percent less plastic than everything else in the category. It's resealable. The zip top packaging helps keep the lettuce really fresh and long for up to 21 days, so it's great if you want to just grab a little bit and then put it back in your fridge and you have it for the next day.”
As consumer expectations evolve, so does the presentation of familiar favorites.
“We're really excited to unveil a brand refresh this year. The new top seal design. We have a new carrier that's going to be launching in 2026. We've really paid a lot of attention to calling out the key occasion for snacking tomatoes, which the number one use for consumers is salads, and so we have a call out right on the packaging: elevate your salads with Angel Sweet®,” Kosar explained.
Through every launch, Mastronardi Produce® continues to combine consumer insight, sustainability, and signature flavor into a unified vision for the future of fresh.
