KINGSVILLE, ONTARIO, CANADA - From launches to rebrands, the Southeast Produce Council’s (SEPC) Southern Exposure show will have a little bit of everything. Mucci Farms will add to the excitement by spotlighting its unique new strawberry tomatoes and award-winning packaging.
“Our new item, Savorries, is a strawberry tomato kept on the vine for maximum freshness and flavor,” Steve Zaccardi, Senior Director of Sales says. “A true eye-catcher for foodies and at-home chefs, this strawberry-shaped tomato is a conversation starter and profiles as a sweet tomato that will wow your guests.”
In addition to Savorries, Mucci Farms will show off its Paper Top Seal Reseal package. The innovative design recently earned the company an Award of Distinction at the 2023 Global PAC Awards and emphasized the grower’s commitment to sustainable solutions.
“Our Paper Top Seal Reseal innovation is gaining much traction at retail, and with sustainability being a continuous top-of-mind subject, this package is a must-have on store shelves,” adds Steve. “We converted a common footprint container into a 100 percent recyclable package, reinforcing our commitment to environmental responsibility.”
Already touting these impressive offerings, looking ahead toward the rest of the year, Mucci Farms is focusing on the expansion of its acreage and its grower partnerships. The goal is to increase its supply from coast to coast, which the team will discuss at the upcoming event.
“Southern Exposure has become one of our favorite shows of the year,” Steve says. “Despite the immense growth, we appreciate the intimate environment, which allows us to focus on relationship building with current and prospective partners. We aim to talk to as many people as possible and share our vision to make CEA a front-and-center option for retailers across the continent.”
