During the debut of its Naturipe Snacks™ Berry Parfaits at the National Association of Convenience Stores (NACS) Show, the product ranked as the #2 Cool New Product and the #1 ranked food item.
“We wanted to create healthy and fresh options for consumers when snacking on-the-go,” said Steven Ware, Vice President and General Manager of Value Added Fresh. “We’re thrilled to see that the NACS members recognize the demand we are meeting and see the value in snack options like our Berry Parfaits.”
Debuting this past summer, the Berry Parfaits were created to offer consumers a healthy, grab-and-go snack that was delicious and provided convenience to shoppers and retailers. According to a press release, these attributes made the product line a perfect fit for the convenience store channel.
During the NACS Show held in Chicago, Illinois, attendees were invited to scan the product information of 270 new items on display in the Cool New Products area of the show floor. Overall, Naturipe Snacks’ Berry Parfaits received the second-most scans of all items, while also receiving the highest ranking of the food and snack items. It was also the only item in the fresh category to make the top ten list.
The line of Berry Parfaits features fresh blueberries, Chobani Greek Yogurt, and crunchy granola, with thoughtfully designed packaging for consumers on-the-go. The unique packaging includes containers that serve as the perfect means to transport and mix each component without compromising freshness and crunch.
