SAN DIEGO, CA – Southern Californian grower and importer of organic fruit announced last week that it plans to participate the Organicology trade show in Portland, Oregon on Saturday February 4, 2017.
“Organicology is one of our most favorite events of the year because attendees are very committed to the organic produce and sustainable products industry,” said Mayra Velazquez de León, President of Organics Unlimited and GROW, in a company press release. “We showcase our organic bananas and our commitment to sustainability. It is also an opportunity to learn what is happening within the organics industry and see how we are part of a larger movement.”
The company noted, in its press release, that it has participated in every Organicology trade show since the conference first began.
The trade show, hosted by four organizations investing in the future of organics, aims to bring together different groups within the organics industry—including growers, manufacturers, retailers, activists, policy experts, educators, researchers, and non-profit organizations. Attendees develop skills and gain exposure to the challenges and accomplishments of the organic movement.
The event's ultimate goal is to drive our food system toward a healthier, sustainable future. By partnering with forward-thinking partners like Organics Unlimited—whose Organics Unlimited and GROW organic bananas, coconuts, and plantains are available throughout the Pacific Northwest—the conference aims to increase awareness and offer a chance for organic producers to network and grow their operations.
