<p style="text-indent:0px; line-height:12px;"><span style="font-weight:bold;line-height:130%"> Lakeland, FL</span><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">By ANUK Staff<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">3.11.13</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p><img class="small-cropped-image" src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacySmallCroppedImages/ed_crenshaw-sm.jpg" alt="images031113" />Publix CEO Ed Crenshaw has announced four new officer positions in corporate purchasing and manufacturing effective April 1, 2013.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Dave Bornmann will be promoted to Senior Vice President of Corporate Purchasing. He started at Publix in 1983 as a computer programmer and was eventually promoted to Vice President Gorcery/Non-Foods. In his new role, the VP of Grocery/Non-Foods, VP of Retail Business Development, Director of Corporate Purchasing Support, and the Director of Emerging Business will all report to him.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Pete Mowitt will fill Bornmann’s old postion as the new Vice President of Grocery/Non-Foods. Mowitt began as a part time grocery clerk, eventually working his way up through the ranks until reaching his current role as Business Development Director of Grocery.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Mike Smith will act as the Senior Vice President of Manufacturing. He started off at Publix as a Rail Dock Associate, continually assuming greater responsibility up to his current position of Vice President of Manufacturing. In his new role, following positions will report to him: Vice President Manufacturing, Vice President Distribution and Director Manufacturing Supply Purchasing.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Jeff Stephens will be promoted to Smith’s vacated position as the new Vice President of Manufacturing.
