UNITED STATES & MEXICO - As July unfolds, broccoli markets across key growing regions are showing modest upward movement amid active demand.

According to the National FOB Review, in California’s Central and South Districts, crown cut 20 lb cartons are holding mostly between 22.35 and 25.55, with occasional highs reaching above 26.00. Bunched 14s from Santa Maria averaged between 14.35 and 16.35, while Salinas-Watsonville saw wider price spreads, with bunched 14s ranging from 19.05 to 21.75 and some lots hitting 28.50.

Meanwhile, Mexico crossings through Texas are commanding firm interest, with short trim crown cut 20 lb cartons mostly in the 24.00 to 25.00 range and occasional highs reported at 28.00.

With volume remaining tight in parts of California, pricing appears poised to remain slightly elevated in the short term.
