CHICAGO, IL - It’s all about data for the RSM team. We recently caught up with Chris Jones, Partner for RSM, who leads the company’s National Food and Beverage Industry team. He shared insights into the concept of “data as currency” and how to maximize its value.
"Today, we're really talking about how we work with produce companies to help them through their digital transformation," he began. "There's a lot of challenges in the produce space—food safety, traceability, [and] supply chain inventory issues. There's always regulatory pressures in this space and how companies are going to have to comply with some of those data issues."
RSM operates within the finance, accounting, and tax consulting spaces. On the consulting side, the company is narrowing in on digital transformation, helping organizations understand their technology roadmap to help them innovate and remain competitive.
"A lot of the things that we do are specifically working with produce companies building on existing platforms and technology," Chris told us. "So [we’re] not trying to reinvent the wheel but to build IP on best-of-breed solutions like Microsoft technologies."
