WENATCHEE, WA - Innovation continues to shape the pear category, and the latest updates showcase a mix of convenience, flavor exploration, and refreshed consumer engagement. In a recent video exclusive, Stemilt spotlighted several standout offerings designed to meet retailers where they are and inspire shoppers to explore beyond familiar varieties.
“This year, we're introducing our Prism Pears. It's a mixed pear bag featuring red, green, and Bosc pears, so it's a nice varietal for people to try them if they haven't had a chance to,” Auna Lundberg, Stemilt's Senior Marketing Manager, shares.
As interest in easy-to-shop formats grows, the supplier is also expanding a packaging solution that debuted last year.
“Last year we launched our organic EZ Bands, but now we've moved into a conventional for red and green pear. It's an easy to stock and shop option for the retailers, very nice to buy for online retail, or for people to pick up in store.”
Another key highlight is an innovative variety gaining attention for its versatility and flavor. The supplier expressed excitement about introducing more consumers to this new option.
“And then the next best thing is our Happi Pear®. We're excited to be featuring this. It's a pear that you can eat green or yellow. It's new to the category.”
From new varietal mixes to versatile snacking pears, the lineup reflects ongoing efforts to inspire trial and boost category performance.
