Sun Date is the largest grower of Medjool & Deglet Noor dates in the country; their most popular item, a 1 lb pack of Medjool dates, has been a hit with retailers. The Medjool is considered to be the "Cadillac" of dates, much more like a fresh produce item than traditional dry dates, according to Mr. Ryan.
