<p><b>Washington, D.C.-</b> The U.S.D.A. has projected $139.5 billion in agricultural exports for the fiscal year 2013; a record breaking figure. The figure was released in the department's Outlook for U.S. Agriculture Trade. </p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p><img src="https://cdn.andnowuknow.com/legacyWriterImages/export-gallery.jpg" alt="Images 053013" /></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p>"Today's report is promising news that keeps American agriculture on track to continue the strongest period of exports in our nation's history. Agricultural exports are an important part of our economy, supporting more than one million jobs - and as a part of President Obama's National Export Initiative to double U.S. exports by the end of 2014,” said Agriculture Secretary Tom Vilsack.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">Ag exports have risen substantially in the period from 2009 to 2013, from $96.3 billion to $139.5 billion.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">“We're looking ahead to the next big achievements - particularly a Trans-Pacific Partnership with Asian nations, and a Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership with the European Union.</p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><p><a class="btn btn-sm btn-primary col-lg-12" style="white-space: normal;" href=" http://www.usda.gov/wps/portal/usda/usdahome “target="_new">USDA</a></p><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
