MONTEREY, CA - Foodservice is making its comeback amid easing pandemic restrictions and to help ensure that restaurants can offer their patrons the best possible ingredients, Westfalia Fruit USA has introduced its new Deuces foodservice label. To get the inside track, our team spoke with Kyle Lane, Category Sales Manager.
“We’re here to showcase our new label: our Deuces label. It’s our number two label we created specifically for foodservice,” says Kyle. “We’re starting to grow and expand with new distribution centers across the country, and our volume is starting to pick up. Foodservice is really starting to come in strong for us. So, we really want to showcase and amplify that.”
Keeping its focus on growing its foodservice reach, Kyle explains that Westfalia is using its diversity to stand out from other suppliers, including its facilities in Mexico, California, Colombia, Chile, and Peru.
Additionally, Westfalia utilizes sustainable practices, which appeals to its customers and their consumers.
“Probably what really else that sets us apart, that I think other people know, is our dedication to sustainability,” explains Kyle. “Our commitment to growth and expansion, different ways, techniques whether it be a Deuces root, we’re using to our nurseries from the seedling all the way to the table.”
