JIm Richter, Executive Vice President of sales and management at Wilcox Fresh, joins us to talk about the current events taking place within the company. Wilcox Fresh is a grower-shipper farming out of Rexburg, Idaho. The company is excited to work to grow top line sales and improve performance metrics in order to assist their customers in taking their businesses from good to great. The year round sweet potato program is one of the many items included in the Cross Valley Label for companies such as U.S. Foods. Wilcox’s onions out of Idaho and Oregon, run from September to April and can be mixed with the Russet Potato loads that have their source in Idaho as well. Also in season, is the Chef’s Potato Program out of Maine which can be featured under the Cross Valley Label. Wilcox is heavily involved in Category Management, working with customers to improve potato, onion, and sweet potato categories. The company is working with customers to improve supply chain efficiencies to get their product to their customers across the country in a more cross effective way. Wilcox Fresh is continuing to find ways to add value for their customers
