Weis Markets is sharing in the gift of giving by presenting $100,000 to Wounded Warrior Project, an organization that aims at raising awareness and public support for the needs of injured service members. Weis Markets’ Bloomsburg store associates presented Jeff Combs with the gift. Mr. Combs is a warrior outreach coordinator for Wounded Warrior Project and a former US Marine who was wounded in Iraq. The donation is part of the national Believe in Heroes initiative and is the result of a partnership between Weis Markets and Wounded Warrior project. Weis customers purchased over 100,000 Believe in Heroes silicone bracelets in November. Believe in Heroes™ calls on Americans to recognize the newest generation of service members and to honor their individual efforts and sacrifices over a two-month campaign leading up to Veterans Day. Jonathan Sullivan, Wounded Warrior Project, EVP, Resource Development states, "Wounded Warrior Project is grateful to Weis Markets for their support of our nation’s wounded veterans...Their donation will go a long way in helping us fulfill our mission to honor and empower wounded warriors.”

www.weismarkets.com
