US Foods Supports a national Celebrity: The Burger

<p><strong>ROSEMONT, IL</strong> – US Foods demonstrated its support this past weekend for celebrity Chef Spike Mendelsohn, of Good Stuff Eatery in Washington D.C., at the 2012 Amstel Light Burger Bash presented at the Food Network South Beach Wine &amp; Food Festival. The event hosted a competition that set in opposition Chef Spike Mendelsohn and a gamut of other equally as talented grill masters, according to a press release. Chef Spike cooked up his Parisian Bistro-themed steak frite burger composed of ground steak, fries and béarnaise sauce. The Chef used signature US Foods products to prepare his dish, including Glenview Farms Crumbled Blue Cheese, Glenview Farms Double A Sweet Butter and Monarch spices, including Tarragon, for the béarnaise sauce.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> Mark Eggerding, Vice President, Sales Support and Training, US Foods, states, “We’re thrilled to support the very talented Chef Spike in this year’s Burger Bash and can’t wait to taste his culinary creation.
