BOISE, ID – Albertsons has stepped on the c-store scene as trends towards streamlined convenience rise. The retailer is introducing its version of a convenience store with a dash of it's own spice to shake up the game, with the addition of fresh produce to its array of everyday necessities.
"We have fresh food offerings. Fresh fruit, fresh vegetables. Sandwiches made daily to offer to our customers out here at our convenience store,” said Fuel Sales Manager Rachel Jones, according to KTVB. “We're also really excited to try our new drive-thru concept. So from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. each day, we'll get our customers anything they need through our drive-thru."
The new convenience store is located in east Boise on Parkcenter Boulevard and Apple Street, and it will present customers with modern and classy vibes as they walk the aisles. The store reportedly will offer consumers even more than the fresh fruits and veggies, candy, chips, and energy drinks to fuel them up; it will offer other types of fuel, too—for cars, lawnmowers, and recreational vehicles.
And to take the classy level to straight-up luxury, the new store boasts a drive-thru to make life that much easier for consumers on-the-go.
How will the Albertson’s prototype set the scene for more convenience stores in the region with much more fresh produce in tow? AndNowUKnow will continue to report with the latest.
