Allen Lund Company Announces Two Promotions at ALC Des Moines Office; Jim Walstrom, Paul Nesbit, and Jim McGuire Discuss

LA CAÑADA FLINTRIDGE, CA - Celebrations are in order as two recent promotions took place at Allen Lund Company (ALC). The transportation broker is bolstering the team at its Des Moines, Iowa, office, naming Jim Walstrom as Assistant Manager and Paul Nesbit as Operations Manager.

Jim Walstrom, Assistant Branch Manager, Allen Lund Company“Allen Lund is a great company that I am proud to represent; I am very grateful for the opportunities they have provided,” said Walstrom. “I am excited to become Assistant Branch Manager for the Des Moines office and continue our tradition of success.”

Walstrom graduated from Iowa State University with a BA in Transportation and Logistics. According to a press release, he started working as the Operations Manager for DMTB in 2015, which ALC acquired in 2020.

Jim McGuire, Executive Vice President, Allen Lund Company“We are excited [about the new role] Jim Walstrom [will have in] our management team in our Des Moines, IA, office,” Executive Vice President Jim McGuire said. “Over the past seven years, Jim has played an instrumental role in developing the Des Moines team. We expect our growth and success to flourish under Jim’s guidance.”

Paul Nesbit has also been named to a new role.

Paul Nesbit, Operations Manager, Allen Lund Company“I am grateful for this opportunity to increase my contributions toward the success of the Des Moines team, as we transition from being the new kid on the block and settle into an ALC staple,” Nesbit commented on his recent promotion to Operations Manager.

Nesbit earned his bachelor’s degree from Grand View University. He gained exposure in logistics in an administrative position, having experience in many parts of the industry. He spent a majority of that time managing customer freight and joined DMTB in 2013.
