The new packaging is Pet 1 and processed in a proprietary direct to sheet process that eliminates 5 stages of production. This process is environmentally friendly and reduces energy consumption by 65% and has a 28% lower carbon footprint than competing containers.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The clamshell has a tamper resistant safety seal built superior food safety for added convenience and it also maximizes shelf life. The packaging showcases the excellent quality of the California dates and presents very nicely on the shelf as well. The clamshell also has a better foot print to maximize merchandising options.
