SAVANNAH, GA – Industry members gathered together earlier this month at the 2016 Southeast Regional Fruit & Vegetable Conference in Savannah, Georgia to see and learn about some of the latest innovations from key suppliers and growers.
Bayer, one of the main sponsors of the event, brought along representatives from both the Crop Protection and Vegetable Seeds divisions of the company to promote products such as Luna, Sivanto, Alion, and Nunhems varieties of watermelon, melon, onion, and carrot to the 3,500 attendees, according to a press release.
“By exhibiting together we were able to reach a wider audience and expand our customer’s knowledge of our resources and products,” said Rob Beets, Watermelon and Melon Sales Specialist.
Bayer also represented in the educational session that included a training by staff from the Bee Care Center. This was just one of the many educational sessions available at the event. Other sessions addressed issues ranging from food safety concerns to marketing strategies.
Every year, growers and other industry professional from around the southeast and other regions come to the Southeast Regional Fruit & Vegetable Conference to participate in the valuable educational sessions and trade show experience the event has to offer.
