CALIFORNIA - It’s time to talk strawberries! As we are officially midway through the month of December, the strawberry provider has offered up another crop update.
“This is the time of year when weather can become a factor in all of our growing regions, so we will do our best to keep you informed of what is happening here in our fields,” the grower reported in its latest release.
Bobalu is currently beginning to harvest its new crop in Oxnard, California, and the fields are reportedly looking great, with spots of red everywhere.
“However, we are also expecting rain to begin early next week and it is forecasted to stick around for several days,” the release continued. “We are harvesting ahead of the expected weather, but we expect it to have an impact on volume from both new and fall crop in Oxnard and Santa Maria.”
The strawberry maven is also harvesting berries in Mexico, having recently experienced some rain in that region as well. The plants are loaded, and Bobalu reports that some favorable weather is what’s needed for this region to take off.
ANUK will continue to relay the latest crop updates from this esteemed berry provider, so keep reading.
