REEDLEY, CA - The beginning of any growing season is an exciting time, ripe with opportunity and the chance to elevate one’s standing in the fresh produce sector. With a heightened focus on the needs of its retail partners and consumers, Bravante Produce is kicking off its table grape harvest in the San Joaquin Valley of California, bringing flavorful grapes to shelves and maintaining a quality coveted by every grape-loving shopper.
“Harvest is currently underway with our Candy Snaps variety. It’s our first year packing them, and it is a great way to start the season with a nice, high-flavor grape,” Steve Shearer, Sales Manager, shares with me as we take a break from a busy Tuesday afternoon to talk table grapes. “In the next week, we will begin harvest of the Arra-29 ‘Passion Fire’ and Ivory varieties. Sizing and quality for both varieties are looking absolutely amazing.”
As Steve goes on to explain to me, Bravante’s grape volumes will be picking up over the next few weeks, with promotional volumes expected toward the end of the month. Ideal weather in the San Joaquin region has hugely benefited the provider’s table grape portfolio.
“In terms of quality, we are in a great position at the beginning of the season, starting off with a couple of really nice varieties, which have great eating quality and appear nicely on the shelf,” Steve adds. “We’re really focused on guaranteeing a high-quality product from start to finish and providing a premium product on the shelf for retailers. Our drive is to have top quality with an excellent flavor profile so the consumer keeps coming back.”
As the season ignites with a promising outlook for Bravante Produce, I anticipate more exciting updates will be in store from this distinguished table grape provider. Keep clicking on AndNowUKnow as we report on the latest in the fresh produce industry.
