OTTAWA, ONTARIO, CANADA - This year’s Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) Convention and Trade Show was not just a time for industry members to reconnect and network. Instead, it also played host to the association’s Board Meeting, where Colin Chapdelaine was appointed as the 2023–2024 Chair.
“I am truly honored to take on the role of CPMA Chair,” said Chapdelaine. “I eagerly anticipate collaborating with my colleagues to advance our industry’s commitment to social, economic, and environmental sustainability as well as continuing to drive innovation across the produce supply chain.”
Currently, Chapdelaine, who has over 25 years of industry experience, is the President of Berry Operations at Star Produce. He served on the CPMA board from 2007 to 2012 and then from 2015 to present. According to a release, he is also a member of the association’s Executive and Human Resources Committees and is the Vice Chair of CPMA’s Industry Technology Advisory Committee.
In his new role, Chapdelaine will not only build on the work of his predecessors but will prioritize crucial areas that significantly affect the industry. Among them are advancing innovation and sustainability, as well as addressing key supply chain challenges.
Chapdelaine will be supported by the Executive Committee in this position.
Congratulations to Colin Chapdelaine on his appointment!
