MIAMI, FL - People, produce, and making a difference are three essential pillars of Continental Fresh’s business. It will show off these passions at the Southeast Produce Council’s (SEPC) Southern Exposure event in Tampa, Florida. In addition to a full line of offerings, the importer will highlight its Water For All branded mangos and its newest campaign.
“Continental Fresh believes that the future is in the hands of those who can find a purpose other than just adding to the bottom line. Profit and purpose can be equal drivers of success,” explains Albert Perez, Founder and Chief Executive Officer. “92 percent of consumers want to buy a product that supports a cause; 94 percent of people said they would be highly likely to recommend a brand they were emotionally engaged with; and most impactful to the retail buyer’s bottom line, 70 percent of emotionally engaged consumers spend up to two times or more on brands they're loyal to.”
At the show, Continental Fresh will debut its new PLU with Purpose campaign, spotlighting the benefits of the Water For All branded mango program. For every Water For All branded box of specialty labeled mangos sold, a percent of the proceeds is donated to BLUE Missions, a non-profit organization that connects families in Latin America to clean, fresh water through clean water and sanitation projects.
During the show, Continental Fresh hopes to showcase the benefits of partnering with the company known for its corporate social responsibility and deep grower relationships.
“SEPC Southern Exposure in Tampa is taking place in our home state, which allows us to bring our team in force to engage with attendees and retail and wholesale buyers during the show,” adds Albert. “We pride ourselves on connecting dependable growers to our customers in the U.S. market. Additionally, the supplier will be looking to connect with other industry members who want to take part in its hike through the jungle to bring water access to communities in need. Continental Fresh partners with BLUE Missions each fall to undergo this journey, and the 2024 hike is currently open for registration.
