Costco has reported sales results for the month of May, the four weeks ended June 2, 2013.
Net sales rose seven percent from $7.57 billion last May to $8.13 billion. Same store sales for the period rose by five percent. Changes in gasoline prices and foreign exchange rates negatively impacted comparable sales for the period. Excluding those effects, same-store sales rose by six percent.
Net sales rose by eight percent from $71.28 billion to $77.13 billion to for the 39-week period ended June 2.
