Costco Wholesale Corporation has reported February, second quarter, and year-to-date sales results.
Costco reported an 8% increase in net sales from $7.01 billion to $7.58 billion for the month of February, the four weeks ended March 3, 2013.
The company reported net sales year-to-date for the twenty-six weeks ended March 3, 2013, which climbed 9 % from $47.22 billion during the similar period last year to $51.35 billion.
Net sales for the second quarter increased eight percent from $22.51 billion last year to $24.34 billion.
Inflation in gasoline prices had a positive impact on comparable sales for all reporting periods
