CASHMERE, WA - Crunch Pak recently participated in and helped sponsor the second-annual fundraising Fun Run for Vale Elementary in Cashmere, Washington, where the value-added, sliced apple company has its plant and home offices.
Sean McKenna, Event Organizer, explained that Crunch Pak not only plays an important participation role, but also sponsors the event so that all fundraising goes directly to benefiting the kids.
“Many of our employees have children at the school so this is a great way to give back to our employees and do something for our local community,” Krista Jones, Director of Brand Marketing & Product Innovation, Crunch Pak, said. “Partnerships and events like this so essential. They are an opportunity to give back to our community; and to help people locally make healthy choices – which is Crunch Pak’s objective.”
Krista went on to explain that childhood obesity is an epidemic in the U.S., stating that Crunch Pak’s goal is to promote healthy choices by providing fresh apple snacks for the kids.
“Also, we want to do everything we can to get kids active and moving,” she said, which aligns perfectly with the Fun Run’s plan to get kids exercising while making them smile. To see what it meant to the students of Vale Elementary, watch the brief video below.
