Tom Cowan, Sales and South African Program Manager for DNE World Fruit, joins AndNowUKnow to discuss how the South African fruit season is faring along with the company's plans for promoting the fresh offerings back here in the states.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> South Africa is currently finishing up with Clementines and is moving into Navel oranges. There was a dry hot Summer but they are now going into Winter. Weather has been pretty good for the region. Peak season for South African fruit is right now with heavy volumes being harvested in the next couple months.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding"> The market will be mainly South African navels in July. Its should be a good Summer as far as eating quality and it should be a good summer with the smaller sizes to promote bags with two and three pound sizes for Clementines and three pound bags for Navels. DNE is also working closely with its retail partners with in-store demonstration and promotions.<hr class="legacyRuler"><hr class="invisible minimal-padding">
