The Fresh Market has appointed Jeffery Ackerman as its new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, as of June 3. He will oversee the company’s financial functions including accounting, auditing, information technology, investor relations, and more.
"After conducting a national search, we are pleased to have attracted someone with Jeff's strong leadership skills and deep financial and business planning expertise to our senior executive team," said Craig Carlock, President and Chief Executive Officer.Most recently, Ackerman served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at Sealy Corporation, a leading bedding manufacturer. Before that, he was VP, Finance at Dade Behring, Inc. and held a variety of finance roles at Frito-Lay.
"With more than 25 years of experience across a broad range of consumer-oriented companies, Jeff's operational mindset and retail focus are a great fit with our company and culture," said Carlock.
Ackerman has a Masters in Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Management from Purdue University.
